A Room of One's Own
October, 2000
You'll laugh! But we haven't been able to find, in Sofia, a copy of the English original text "A Room of One's Own" by Virginia Woolf. And roaming the net for the quote has not helped either. Seems the Woolfians are afraid of copyright infringements. So you'll have to do with the Bulgarian quote below, and wait till some kind soul e-mails us the passage in the English original. Would be a shame to translate English literature back from Bulgarian, wouldn't it? Only so much: It's the part where Virginia Woolf explains that if women have 500 pounds a year at their disposal, if they have a room of their own, if they make freedom a habit, if they dare write exactly what they think, they will have no problem to become good writers.

Virginia Woolf, "A Room of One's Own"
